A man would be self-governing
if no one could force him
to pay taxes that he did not approve.

To understand man paying his taxes voluntarily,
we need a new political concept,

The Voluntary State,
which links the authority of voting
to the responsibility to pay taxes.

Thus a man would be allowed to vote
only if he paid his share of the taxes:
But, then, those who voted would control the state.
Elected officials would be forced
to honor their campaign promises,
or the voters could withhold the tax money.

Most important of all –
man would, at last, have peace,
because the power to prevent war
would be in the hands of the voters,
who could withhold the money to pay for war.Welcome.html
